Higher Education Administration

Program Objective: To prepare to meet the need for increasingly sophisticated and knowledgeable leaders in higher education.

Program Description: Take a fresh look at the three pillars of higher education—student affairs, academic affairs, and administration—as you examine strategies for:

  • Teaching the adult learner
  • Supporting and advising the post-secondary student
  • Administration and Leadership of Higher Education
  • Higher Education Policy, Politics and Pressing Issues

Program Outcomes: Upon graduation, you will receive a Graduate Certificate and be ready to address the varied challenges and opportunities facing institutions today and in the future.

Students who wish to enroll in this graduate certificate program are required to have a bachelor’s degree.

The Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration is not designed to fulfill the educational requirements for any educational credential, such as a state teacher’s license. Professional credentials vary by state and include requirements outside of education, which may include exams, background checks, work experience, and more. Learn about teaching certification requirements through the state departments of education:
