Legal Studies

ONLINE ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE IN LEGAL STUDIES

Program Objective: To prepare you to fill an important role in maintaining order in today’s society.

Program Description: Enhance your self-awareness, confidence, and sense of direction as you receive a thorough grounding in ethical decision-making skills and explore the relationship of the legal system to business, government, and society.

Through job-oriented coursework, you will:

  • Attain a professional level of organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the team concept for the delivery of legal services
  • Develop skills in the use of technology in the delivery of legal services
  • Demonstrate ethical awareness and understand the concept of integrity

Program Outcomes: Upon graduation, you will receive an Associate degree and be qualified to enter a rewarding career as a paralegal in corporate, private, or government organizations.

The Associate of Science in Legal Studies degree is not designed to fulfill the educational requirements for any legal credential, such as a state law license or a paralegal certification.
