Certificate in Forensic Accounting
Are you thinking about pursuing a career running the numbers on crime? At Post University, our Certificate in Forensic Accounting provides the learning opportunities you could use to enhance your abilities in financial fraud investigation. Developed for accountants, CPAs, CMAs, and accounting majors interested in refining abilities for investigative accounting, this program was also designed to offer the instructional opportunities they could use to prepare for the Certified Fraud Examiner Examination. The program is available 100% online or as a hybrid of online and on-campus* classes to provide scheduling flexibility and face-to-face personal touch. Coursework covers what it takes to:
- Uncover, solve, and document financial crimes
- Implement best practices for the prevention of fraud
- Apply accounting methods relevant to the discovery of financial crime
- And more!
The Certificate in Forensic Accounting also offers the instructional opportunities students can use to prepare for the Certified Fraud Examiner Examination. There are other requirements to earning this credential; learn about them on the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners website: https://www.acfe.com/become-cfe-qualifications.aspx
Post University assists in researching and providing information regarding licensure; however, each state has different requirements for such licensure outside of the required education. Such state requirements may include licensure exams, background checks, certain work experience, and more. It is ultimately the responsibility of each student to manage their own licensure process and to ensure that all requirements are met in order for the student to obtain licensure. Post University does not speak on behalf of any licensing board or body and does not guarantee licensure. Requirements for licensure are subject to change without notice.
*Note: Students entering the Certificate in Forensic Accounting program are advised that the entire program cannot be completed on the Main Campus. There are classes that must be completed online.
Post embeds micro-credentialing opportunities in programs to help build personal or professional skills to highlight on a resume or online profile.
