Program Description: Accountants, CPAs, CMAs, and accounting majors can enhance their career opportunities with the Certificate in Forensic Accounting. The certificate combines 18 credits of accounting and criminal justice courses which build a foundational knowledge in financial fraud investigation. Students review and analyze real-world case studies related to fraud prevention, detection, deterrence, and investigation.
Upon completion of this certificate program, students will be able to apply accounting methods and financial techniques necessary to uncover, solve and document financial crimes while following prescribed criminal investigation procedures.
Program Outcomes: Students will demonstrate an understanding of, and apply principles relating to, the nature of fraud and forensic accounting.
