Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management & Homeland Security

With a focus on the four phases of emergency management—mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery—the Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management and Homeland Security provides learning experiences you could use to better explore opportunities in a variety of public services fields. This program also offers the ability to customize your degree to your future goals with three concentration options, including:

  • Criminal Justice Leadership
  • Cybersecurity & Information Assurance
  • Policing

Core coursework offers the industry-specific insights and skill-building opportunities to:

  • Understand the foundations of homeland security in relation to the U.S. and its interests
  • Describe the role of various public and private entities in managing emergencies
  • Develop and evaluate emergency management and security plans
